Why We Only Offer Wall Insulation for New Builds

Wall insulation is installed in pad form, meaning it must be placed between wall studs before plaster sheeting is installed. For this reason, we provide wall insulation as part of new builds or major renovations where wall frames are open and accessible.

Many homeowners ask about retrofitting insulation into existing walls, but this is not a service we offer — and here’s why:

  • Retrofitting requires removing existing plaster, which becomes expensive and disruptive.
  • Insulation batts are not designed for injection through brick mortar or small openings.
  • Liquid-injection wall systems exist, but the process is unreliable, costly and provides no visibility into how effectively the wall cavity is filled.
  • Once plaster and bricks are sealed, you cannot inspect coverage or consistency.

Due to these limitations, we do not recommend or provide retrofitted wall insulation. Our focus is on delivering high-quality insulation installed correctly during construction, where the results can be guaranteed.

CSR Bradford Wall Insulation for Superior Performance

Types of Wall Insulation We Install

We offer a full range of wall insulation options suitable for both existing homes and new builds. These include cavity wall insulation, wall insulation panels, and thermal systems designed for brick, veneer, weatherboard and lightweight cladding. When walls are open during construction or renovation, traditional bulk insulation batts are installed between the studs for optimal performance. In homes where access is limited, we use injection-based solutions or panel systems that can be fitted without removing internal plaster.

Our primary supplier is CSR Bradford, one of Australia’s most trusted insulation manufacturers. Bradford’s products are well-proven, installer-friendly and designed specifically for the Australian climate, making them the ideal choice for long-term performance.

Whether you need insulation for brick veneer walls, cavity walls or internal partitions, we’ll recommend the most appropriate system and install it to Australian standards.

FAQ: Wall Insulation

Do you install wall insulation in existing homes?

No. We only install wall insulation in new builds during construction, as retrofitting requires removing internal plaster and is not practical with the insulation systems we use.

Does wall insulation help reduce noise?

Yes. Thermal and acoustic batts both reduce sound transfer between rooms and from outside.

Is wall wrap necessary for new homes?

Yes. Wall wraps improve energy efficiency, moisture control and overall home comfort, and are considered best practice in modern construction.

How long does wall insulation last?

Most wall insulation products last 30–50 years when installed correctly and kept dry.

Does wall insulation improve resale value?

Yes. Energy-efficient homes are more attractive to buyers and often sell faster.
